Jolly Winifreda Akumu serves with Bridging-Health International (BHI) as Director – Quality Improvement & Community Health Programs, bringing extensive experience in maternal, neonatal, and community health systems strengthening. She is a public health professional with over five years of leadership in quality improvement initiatives and more than nine years of hospital and community health coordination across low‑resource settings.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and has led large‑scale quality improvement projects, health worker capacity‑building efforts, and immunization and nutrition initiatives in collaboration with government and development partners.
At BHI, Jolly supports the design, implementation, and evaluation of community‑focused health programs, ensuring interventions are evidence‑based, culturally responsive, and aligned with best practices in quality improvement and public health, advancing improved outcomes for underserved populations.
In addition to her executive role, Jolly serves as a Member of BHI’s Board of Directors, contributing to governance and fiduciary oversight in support of the organization’s mission.
